Little treat
I finally had my japanese food I've longed for at Little Tokyo tonite. It wasnt the best, not even near, but I'm contented.
I forgot how lovely a night out can be! So relaxing. sooo 20 years old! Candle light, wooden table, fishes, great conversations, lots of laughters, lots of making fun of, mango sorbet and green tea that gives you high!
How could this even be better?

She can only look at the picture of the card I made for her now.
I'll be more geram if I din take a shot of the card.

Food, and more food
Tell me, are you hungry yet? Look at the colourful table of food! from appertizer to noodles to chicken to pork to beef to seafood, we had it all. and I think b'day celebration should be about food rather than alcohol! alcohol can come later, much later.
I'm seriously missing the days of spending hours on a table of food.
And I can't wait to go home and have a big dinner on a round table with like 5 to 6 friends so we can order 6 to 7 dishes!

Us
I've just came back from a lil weekend getaway. It was the best trip ever, so nice and lovely! Both Glasgow and Edinburgh are gorgeous, totally gorgeous I regret for not choosing scotland but england now! but thats not what i wanted to talk bout. What I want to pen down is u and me and us and we. nothing beats spending hours talkin and talkin and poking and laughing and teasing each others. sigh, those good old sepia tinted memories!

We all agreed, anywhere can be a better place to live. The key is having the right people with us, around us. it's bout the connection. the togetherness.

Somewhere, a clock is ticking. all we are doin is to keep moving forward so as to not be left behind. But today, I like how it brought us back to 10 years ago. Over the tea cups, we're still the 16 years old blue uniform girls. Giggly, bubbly, no worries, with all our swearing of stupids and smellys and discovered again that side of us we thought we're losing with time.
Us in the childhood museum posing like a kid
4 days of joy passed by just so quickly. Its now another piece of memory to frame up.
btw, sex and the city movie is worth a watch! friendeship that never dies.

My new baju to come
I'm actually quite happy today. Hehe. know why? Coz I've finally bought a baju which I think is nice but stupid mun said it looks more like a pyjamas. Hmph!
Anyway, the point is that, I BOUGHT it the second I saw it without even feeling it and tryin it on and make sure it looks good on me!!! Online purchasing is never very much of my thing, but well, sometimes we must do something we don't normally do rite, and have faith on our impulsive action.
Say, the baju looks nice rite? It's only 29SGD including delivery to my KL home. Hoho. Now I just can't wait for it to get to me and see if my love at first sight is going to turn into a long term relationship. If so, I will broadcast it, don worry.

The Dance...
The dance last night. I wanted to talk bout it. But I dont know where to start, its gone a bit vague now. I don't even remember his face.
I closed my eyes, and there were the beats, the laughters, the joy and, his hand. Swaying; left and right to the music; he's good, in leading. Funny too. His hands on my waist and mine on his. closed body contact, I can smell his cologne. Uninhibited.
Lifted up by him. I liked the full round circles, he has strong arms. I've lost count on how many circles we did, all I remember was my head's spinning and heart pounding. Finally, I'd both my feet on the wooden floor, relaxing in his arms, again we swayed to the music, apart den back close...

Library is Good!
It smells of books. Of old rotten yellow papers. I never liked it before, but now I'm here, with 4 giant physical chemistry on the table to my right, my Fujitsu laptop nicely sitting in front of me, a bottle of spring water only an arm's away, and a snicker bar getting ready, I'm all set for the journey.
Never did I yawn once, I'm impressed with myself how focussed I am in this 3 hours. I'm hungry for information, screening, filtering and reprocessing page after page, I've now the answers to the questions. It's fulfilling. Satisfaction gained for a while.
There are still questions sitting there to be ticked off, and I believe the non-existance answers will unravel itself as long as I continue reading.

Cesky Krumlov
Cesky Krumlov, a lovely small town which is only 3 hours away from Prague by bus. I fell in love with its serenity and laid-backness right away it's such a perfect weekend getaway from the hustle bustle.
The town is very small, sooo small you can be done with all the sight seeing within couple of hours. I wanted to go up the tower but it's only open for public in April, grrrr. Why!!! Now I just gotta miss the chance to take more nicey pictures.
Thats the view from the bridge. It's breath-taking! I just love the colour of the roof!
Looking at this makes me feel like I'm living in fairy tales. Where is my prince?
One of the courtyard within the castle. The wall is sooo nicely painted and I tell you the interior is even gorgeous. What a shame we couldnt enter and can only look at the picture they displayed.

Prague hostel Elf
Hostel Elf. A very vibrant colourful hostel I personally enjoyed very much stayin at. And, it's clean!! Czech people somehow like warm colours a lot, at least thats the very first thought I had when I stepped into Elf.
This is the reception. The only thing is that you'll have to go up the stairs to reach here. A lil exercise everyday. Hehe.
Our breakfast is served here, we've got free coffee and tea too! Breakfast is included and it's only 10 pounds per person for a private triple room. The donuts were the best! I never had high expectation for hostel breakfast but this beats me!
The living social eating area.
It gets really crowded especially at night for people to mingle around. Very cosy. Sad to speak we didn't get to spend time here for our ever so hectic schedule.
Thats the corridor leading to our rooom. Aint the painting gorgeous?!! I just love the colours!
Kitchen. You can cook as you wish.

And this is the door to our room. We are one big family. Haha.
Our not very big, but clean and comfortable room. As usual, my bed is always in a mess.
Arghhh. I didnt take any photo of the clean bathroom! How could I forget bout that. One thing to note is that the water aint as hot as I would like it to be, but bearable.
There's one lil incident I'll always remember and never gonna trust the number lock again - I've got my luggage locked and I didn't know what the code was coz I didnt know when it's changed and it had to happen on the very first day on a Sunday evening! Seriously, even till now I dont know how to change the code I wondered how it was accidentally done! was totally completely freaked out I tell you, but thank goodness after fidelling for about 20 mins with all sorts of combinations, the lock opened! The most dramatic emotion change I had in 20 mins! And I never want to experience it no more. I'm now goin traditional, no more high tech digital lock, call me a loser!

Prague - Czech Glass
Czech is famous for its Czech glass, or sometimes called the Bohemian glass (that is just becoz Bohemia was a part of the former Czechoslovakia). Glass and crystals shops are everywhere, literally, in the old town and new town in Prague, so many of them you simply just cannot miss it. And its soo cool to actually see the actual engraving done by the glassmaker on the spot. Every single cut he made was so delicate and precise. I am seriously amazed by the skill from head to toe!

My First Trip to Prague
I'm back, finally, from my 6-days trip to Prague and Cesky Krumlov!
There are soooo many pictures I wanted to put it up here but nah, its goin to take me ages to upload them so I'm just gonna randomly select a couples of my favourites. Heh. I tell you, the Czechs are sooooo totallly gorgeous and friendly and helpful and cute and made me wanna fall in love with them! and I'm loving their beers so very much! especially the dark beer (dark beer is sweeter than light beer). I'm not a beer person to start with but man, the Czech's dark beer has totally changed my perception bout beer; it's no longer some bitter fizzy yellowish brown liquid but beer beer itself that tastes only sooo good and drinkable and made me oh so relax I jus want to flirt with that cute waiter! and they are sooooo bloody effin cheap! you wont believe it's the cheapest beverage on the drink list, cheaper than a coke, 30 czk or some places are goin for 20 czk and that means 1 pound or even less for a 0.3l beer!! Now I understand why Honza and Natacha said the British beers suck!
Night scene at Florence, Prague. I always have this thing for lights I donno why, but say, aren't they just beautiful?! Night without lights can only be scary!
Dvur. That's the name of the restaurant. Milan boy said it means in between houses, which is exactly where this restaurant's. I personally like this place very much till we just have to go back for the second time. The food is excellent, the restaurant's awesome with really coool jazz music, and most importantly, Milan boy is sooooo cute!!! He's soo cute I just had to tease him and see him blushed and not know what to say. Gosh. If time permits I probably will have a crush on him. Haha. It's very rare that the waiter can talk so much with the customers but we just did, till he told us that his boss was pointing at him and we had to stop! and we spent the longest dinner there, from 8pm to 11pm. We exchanged number but god dammit I accidentally deleted one of the number and now I dont have it anymore. T_T.
This is at the Old Town, and I can't remember what this sharp pointing gothic style architecture is called. =p.
This is a Baroque style building, it's some kinda theatre.
Old town square. And again, pardon me for not able to remember the names of the sculptures, they are all in Czech language and my brain just refused to work. =p The easter market is here, and we had this really delicious Langose, it's somekind of flour made errr, flat fried bread?

Thats the street lighta again. =)
This was taken at the Prague castle, which is across the famous Charles Bridge. If only the weather was better. It's snowing can you believe it! It's already spring still it's snowing! Nonetheless, the view was awesome! Too bad I'm such an idiot in picture taking!

That's the prague castle taken from the other side at dawn. And the river is called Vltava river.
You can see tonnes of building like these in Prague. Its nice the first time, all new and exciting, but after that, I kinda got immune to it. Heh.
Oh ohhhh, and I bought this beer shampoo!!! Am goin to start using it soon after my yogurt berries shampoo is finished. I just realised I'm kinda obsessed with shampoo. hehe. =p.
We'd yeast beer, dark beer and lager. And you know my fav now. Dark beer is the way to gooooooooo!! =p
All in all, the trip's awesome! Bad weather, but we had really good food, good beer, good view and good companies! I needa bring more money next time! there're a couple of places tht we din get to visit, like the castle filled with dead bones and skullls.
A few words I learnt in Czech:
Ahoj (i) - hello
Dekui - thank you
Pivo - beer
Kolik to stoji (stui) - how much
* j is silent.
ps: I just got to know that Bata, yea, that Bata shoe shop that I only buy my school shoes, is actually a Czech brand!
pps: I'm in love with Kozel
ppps: All other cool pics are on my facebook.

Bright Sunny Snowy Day
It's a very interesting phenomenom I must say.
This morning, walking, I had my first lesson of watchin the falling snow 500meters away from where I was, I wasn't part of the dimensions. Blue sky above me, but its grey 500 meters there. It is as if there's another world, and I'm walking towards it.
The sun's grinning, the wind's growling, and the snow's dancing, all at once.
Awesome!

Earth Tremor
My bed shakes, abrasively. It's mid night, I'm alone, and it freaks me quite a bit. Why on earth is my bed shaking?! For a second I thought it's the unit below doing some harsh job, but that doesn't make sense. It's a bit non sensical to be real. Holding on to my laptop (that's my baby), I dont know why I den look out the window. All I can see is only the swaying tree branches. And the chilly wind brushing agaisnt my cheek.
The tremor doesn't stop. I can feel it's coming from the bottom. The building, the building is shaking now! Still in doubt, I choose to stay on my rocking bed, the long standing mirror which is leaning against the wall is quivering too, adding sound effect telling something is not too right. And the side table is wobbling. It feels as though something is goin to collapse. My instinct tells me, quick, save your assignments, that's the last thing you want to lose if anything happens. And it's just sooo funny to think bout it now. My assignments are more important? Oh yea.
10 seconds. It all happens within a short 10 seconds, or maybe long. So yeap, we've this lil earth tremor in the UK, across 6 or more counties. Unexpected, but apparently it's not uncommon as they'd worse earthquake in 2002 with some damages.
update: BBC reported the earthquake. I didn't know it's a 5.2 in magnitude earthquake.

Not convinced
I'm not exactly relieved even the doctor said the pain will go away sooner or later. There aint any bone fracture. A good news I suppose, but....I dooon't know, I'm not quite convinced. Not like I'm after a 30 mins consultation, but 5 mins including talkin and pressing my back bone a bit and knocking my knees abit, I just cannot feel better with the 'good news' she announced.
Why would the pain become worse after 3 weeks when it should be healing? If pain is inversely proportional to time like what she said, I should be feeling less pain rite?
Lets jus see if it it's goin to get any better. Fingers crossed. Amy's story freaks me a lil.
And I should try to kiss the floor in a correct way next time, if it happens again. Yea, as if I can control such action! Sheesh.

Frank Morton and The Snow
It's a fulfilling day today despite having to get up at 6 in the morning and freeze myself to death while walking to uni for the preparation of the biggest Frank Morton event within the engineering departments. This was the third winter snow in Leeds and I must say it's the coldest longest thickest of all. But, I kinda liked it. =p I loved it!
I couldn't believe I didn't bring my camera again, for the event, the sports event like this, more so for me wearing that oh so cool white Frank Morton Steward T-shirt, ushering all those well-built sportsmen and babes to where they should be, getting all the goodie bags ready, helping the companies setting up their booth, and at the same time get a lot of other freebies from the companies visiting.
Tell me, how on earth could I have missed the chance of seizing the day with pictures! Awwwww. dumb me. Btw, Frank Morton is an inter-university sport event for the engineering students, that went along with an engineering career fair. So, it's a very engineering event that involves only the engineers and engineer-to-be. Oh, some companies participated in the sports too.
Anyways, at least I can take a picture of the goodies I grabbed, maybe later, I'm a lil lazy now. They are no useless stuff I tell you, you'll only like them. The companies are jus sooo rich! Expected coz most of them are oil & gas company, if not pharma. I've got this really cute lil monkey, mini clock, cards, lots of pens, toiletries bag (multipurpose maybe), pen-drive, tomato stress ball, really cool highlighter in triangle shape, laser, mini torch, toothpaste, munchies, soap, and lots more which I didn't get. I want that lil globe but it's gone within seconds! T_T
They need to do more career fair like this that gives out cool stuff! =p
Did I say I like how it snowed today? How everywhere at sight was all white, all blanketed with the snow crystals, only sooo beautiful and enticing. And again, I didn't get to capture it.

Dreamgirl and Cute Customer
There are 2 things I want to put it down.
First, the Malaysian Dreamgirl. It's a reality TV show for search of models, and the best part is, it'll be aired online! ONLINE wei!!! This is brilliant, isnt it?!! I can sooo watch the show even I'm thousand miles away from home now! Product of Malaysia, lets rock it!
Den, I met this lovely customer at work last evening. And I couldnt believe we spent another 30 minutes or more talking on top of the 10 minutes of taking his order. His food had turned all cold, there're a few more orders coming in in between sessions, yet the conversation didn't stop from there. I don't remember now what we had talked about but it sure has fascinated me how we are talkin more like friends. Yea. so I've made a new friend last nite. And he was funny, cute kinda funny when he suddenly softened down and asked if at all he's bothering me with work, so carefully as if he's the boy who's done something wrong. =p I thought I saw him blushing too. Soooo cute, isn't it!

The Food and Happiness
It's such a wonderful night!
The air in Leeds during CNY seriously aint any worse than home! We had a steamboat party last nite at my place with 15 people, all cooking the nite away. It's never been merrier, lots of laughs and good food and good company!
Oishiiiiiiiii-ne!!! We'd abolone mushrooms, golden mushrooms, fried bead curd, white bean curd, soft bean curd, crabstick, dumplings, beef, lamb, balls, prawns, sushi, thai stir fried pepperish pork, potato-derived-noodle like stuff (I can never get the japanese name right, later maybe), rice cake, veges. Say, this is awesome! Yum yum yum!
It's a multinational celebration! We've 3 Japanese, 5 M'sians, 1 Thai, 1 British, 5 Chinese rockin the house! It's a night of happiness! No more unpleasantness, no more sulkiness, no more grumpiness. I can't wait for the Easter break now. Another session of good food and company! Lara said she wants to make me pancake. Hohoho.
The only thing that pissed me off was the bathroom! The plumber or whoever that was came to fix the tap AND messed up the bathroom which I've just cleaned in the morning!

This Is Such A Shame
Is there any difference between the Vietnamese Chinese New Year and Chinese Chinese New Year?
How is the Chinese Calender different from the 'Western' Calender?
I felt sooo shameful for not being able to give my fellow non-chinese coursemates a definite answer to the above questions when they asked me today.
'I don't think there's any difference, the only difference will probably be how we celebrate it', thats all I said. It should be the same isnt it? Now they really made me think, if the reason behind celebrating CNY is the same throughout. Hmm.
And the calender bit reallly caught me, other than the 1st and the 15th of every month we'll see full moon and CNY's eve is on the 31st (or is it 30th?, OMG, I'm confusing myself now, mum why you never tell us how did chinese calender come about?) and we will get all the red packets on the 1st, I know shit bout it!
I shall check with my mum when I call home tomorrow. =p
update: apparently, there's only either 29 or 30 days per month in chinese calender. So, CNY's eve is the 30th not 31st. Can I dig myself a hole?

update: apparently, there's only either 29 or 30 days per month in chinese calender. So, CNY's eve is the 30th not 31st. Can I dig myself a hole?

So they said
So they said I'm very articulate in terms of my career plan.
But they don't think they can offer what I'm looking for as the programme is structured for someone who's more generic. Hmm. (they sure know how to phrase it in a nicer way, =p)
Perhaps I've been a tad too detailed (limiting), which doesnt work for this instance. Oh well.
It's the art of getting fit into the puzzle that I've yet to learn. I will.
